Holly Rutchey is a Florida-based artist who draws inspiration from the natural world around her. Below are some examples of paintings; she usually paints acrylics and watercolor/gouache. Her favorite subjects are birds, botanicals and the beach.
She has also written and illustrated a full-length novel about the oceans (soon to be published as both a book and e-book on Amazon.
"The Kingdom of the Shell" is about a great oceanic empire that faces its demise because with the dawn of human civiliziation. The novel has hundreds of hand-drawn (not computer generated) illustrations. The novel also has accompanying original music (samples are below). I hope to soon have a few videos of some of the songs on youtube.
